Family Bridges Program

Our office is privileged to be part of a 24-member coalition of faith-based organizations that have received a Healthy Marriage Initiative grant from the federal government. The grant is called Family Bridges and allows us to offer programs and materials in English and Spanish to help build healthier, happier homes. We do this through education and public awareness.

Since April of 2007, we have been offering programs to singles, couples and youth at locations throughout the archdiocese. Mision Juan Diego, St. Agnes of Bohemia, St. Terrence, St. Kevin, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Clare Montefalco, St. Turibis, Queen of Peace, Mary Queen of Heaven have all offered programs. Some are offered in English, some in Spanish. Programs are held in the evening or on weekends. This year (2008) we have served 503 persons as of May 30.

Our goal is to invite as many parishes as possible to benefit from this grant. For a brief overview of what it takes to offer a program, read this summary. The curriculums offered are effective and engaging.

On line registration for programs is easy. Click here to view the upcoming classes. Once a parish is scheduled to offer a program, they are added to this roster.

Family Bridges has beautiful posters in either English or Spanish to display in the halls and rooms of your school and church. Our suggestion is to install the posters in an inexpensive poster frame so that they will last. Take a look at the posters and select one or two for your parish or facility. As long as supplies last we will send them to you. Specify whether you want English, Spanish or some of each.  Click here for the order form.
