Family Bridges Program

Our office is privileged to be partners in a faith-based coalition funded through a Healthy Marriage Initiative (HMI) grant from the federal government. Called Family Bridges , this partnership allows us to offer programs and materials in English and Spanish to help build healthier, happier homes. We do this through education and public awareness. We teach basic skills of communication, conflict resolution, problem solving and commitment.

Since April of 2007, we have been offering programs to singles, couples and youth at locations throughout the archdiocese. Some of the host sites have been Mision Juan Diego, St. Agnes of Bohemia, St. Terrence, St. Kevin, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Clare Montefalco, St. Turibis, Queen of Peace, Mary Queen of Heaven, and St. Victor. We have provided healthy relationship classes at Mother McAuley High School, Mount Carmel High School and Lourdes DeLaSalle High School as well as at many Confirmation preparation programs in the city and suburbs.

Classes can be offered in English or Spanish. Programs are held in the evening or on weekends. Since 2007 we have served over 1500 persons and the entire coalition has served almost 40,000 individuals.

Our goal is to invite as many parishes as possible to benefit from this grant. For a brief overview of what it takes to offer a program, read this summary. The curriculums offered are effective and engaging.

On line registration for programs is easy. Click here to view the upcoming classes. Once a parish is scheduled to offer a program, they are added to this roster.

Build healthy families in your faith community by inviting us to bring our programs to your parish or institution.
